Cancer Counselling

Gold Ribbon

At Luxe Psychology Practice we offer Cancer Counselling as one of our specialist services. We offer Cancer Counselling for cancer patients at any stage of diagnosis, treatment or survivorship. We also offer counselling services to friends or family of cancer patients as we recognise and understand the emotional and psychological impact cancer can have on everyone involved.

Our Founder and Clinical Director Jade Thomas was trained to support cancer patients at one of the top cancer specialist hospital's in the world, The Royal Marsden Hospital. From her training Jade brings specialist expertise to this service and we are proud to offer this service at Luxe Psychology Practice.

We offer a flexible treatment approach as we understand the uncertain, changeable nature of cancer and treatment. We draw upon Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles and use a trauma-informed approach to all of our cancer psychotherapy work.

All Cancer Counselling is conducted via phone or video call, as we have found this approach to be most suitable for cancer patients due to undergoing treatment, recovering from surgery or treatment or managing life around attending regular hospital appointments.

Please contact us for more information or book a free consultation call below.

Fee for Cancer Counselling: £150

We currently do not accept insurance clients.

I formed a strong relationship with Jade very quickly, which has continued to grow over time, to the point that I trust her implicitly and feel able to tell her anything and everything. I feel incredibly heard in our sessions, and she provides the perfect balance of listening to me, and using questions to help me develop further understanding of issues on my own.

Although our sessions cover dark and difficult topics, she helps me to see light within them and we are able to laugh and have fun as part of the process.

Jade is brilliant at making links between the things I talk about currently, and things I’d told her months ago. This helps things make more sense, and also frequently highlights my progress. She never makes me feel like a problem is too big, or too small. Jade frequently sends me very useful resources that help me to continue the work we do together between sessions.

I can see clearly that I am a far better version of myself since starting sessions with Jade.
