CANCER SUPPORT

At Luxe Psychology Practice we offer Cancer psychological support as one of our specialist services. We offer support for cancer patients at any stage of diagnosis, treatment or survivorship. We also offer psychological support to friends or family of cancer patients as we recognise and understand the emotional and psychological impact cancer can have on everyone involved.
We offer a flexible treatment approach as we understand the uncertain, changeable nature of cancer and treatment. We draw upon Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles and use a trauma-informed approach within all of our cancer psychotherapy work.
All Cancer Counselling is conducted via phone or video call, as we have found this approach to be most suitable for cancer patients due to undergoing treatment, recovering from surgery or treatment or managing life around attending regular hospital appointments.
Our Founder and HCPC Reg. Psychologist Dr. Jade Thomas was trained to support cancer patients at one of the top cancer specialist hospital's in the world, The Royal Marsden Hospital. Due to this experience, Dr. Jade brings specialist expertise to this service and we are proud to offer this specialist service here at Luxe Psychology Practice.
