Dr. Harriet is an experienced Counselling Psychologist offering both online and face-to-face appointments. She has experience of working with adults presenting with PTSD, addictions, anxiety, eating disorders, depression, work-related stress and burnout, as well as bereavement.

She qualified with a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Regent’s College, London, affiliated with the University of Wales, in 2009. Dr. Harriet is a Consultant Counselling Psychologist, chartered with the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Scientist, Clinical Supervisor, and Registered Expert Witness, and is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Experience

Dr. Harriet has worked in medium and low-secure forensic psychiatric units across both NHS and private healthcare settings. She brings over 15 years of experience working with prison, community, and forensic psychiatric populations within criminal, healthcare, and civil contexts, including work with the Ministry of Justice and Parole Boards.

Her experience extends to work with the British Military, police, Probation Services, Social Services, and government law enforcement agencies within the intelligence community. She has also worked within corporate environments including banking, Formula 1 racing, and the legal profession, providing occupational assessments and psychological treatment for burnout, PTSD, and compassion fatigue.

Dr. Harriet has taught on the Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology at Buckinghamshire New University for five years and previously lectured on the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Birkbeck, University of London. She has contributed to national media, including articles in the Daily Mail (2026), earlier publications in The Sun and specialist magazines, and participation in a 2022 Amazon Television documentary on serial offenders and parole risk.

Dr. Harriet holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, alongside Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees, and has specialist expertise as an Expert Witness. She is trained in a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and work-related goal setting.

She has additional assessment expertise within forensic settings and has worked across clinical, community, and forensic environments within both NHS and private organisations, as well as alongside the police and military.

Dr. Harriet has extensive experience and long-standing interests in addiction rehabilitation, life-changing injuries, CAMHS, domestic violence, and violent sexual offending.

 

Her specialist interests include trauma, personality disorders, addiction, violent crime, and domestic abuse. She has worked with organisations including The Priory, Cygnet Healthcare, St Andrew’s Healthcare, Elysium, the Ministry of Defence, the NHS, and charities such as Mind and CGL (formerly CRI). Her client base includes politicians, public figures, military personnel, athletes, and professionals across the fashion, media, legal, medical, and financial sectors.

Her approach integrates evidence-based psychological therapies with tailored assessment and intervention, adapted to the specific needs of each individual, couple, organisation, or legal context.
