FAQS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens after your initial enquiry?
Following your initial enquiry with us, we will arrange an initial 15 minute consultation call with a HCPC registered psychologist to find our more about your enquiry, needs and therapeutic goals. If you are happy to proceed we will then arrange your first full appointment.
How long would the sessions be?
Psychological therapy sessions are 50 minutes in duration, this is standard practice. Weekly attendance is required in order for you to fully benefit from therapy as it provides structure and consistency to the therapeutic work.
How much are your fees?
You can view our prices page here. If you have further questions regarding prices please do not hesitate to contact us.
Do you accept Health Insurance?
Yes we accept insurance from the following providers: Aviva, Vitality & Cigna.
Please check your individual policy or contact your provider directly to ensure that cover has been accepted for the level of treatment planned. It is the policy holder's responsibility to ensure that treatment is pre-authorised.
What is the cancelation policy?
We will always try our best to accommodate your needs should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, however late cancellations and missed appointments are payable in full unless 48 hours notice is given or an exceptional circumstance has arisen.
Where are your clinics located?
We currently have multiple clinics, one is located in the heart of Mayfair, London and our additional location is in Central Milton Keynes. We also offer online services if you are unable to visit us in person.
Do you do home visits?
Unfortunately we do not offer home visits however, with the power of technology we can still offer sessions in the comfort of your own home via video call or telephone.
How many sessions will I need?
The amount of sessions required is a case by case basis. One size does not fit all, however following the consultation call if you are happy to proceed with therapy with us, we recommend a minimum of 6 sessions as this is the minimum amount we recommend to begin seeing therapeutic change. Many clients often opt for an open-ended approach to therapy which we also offer and encourage. If you opt for this type of contract your therapist will provide a review session every 6-7 sessions, in order to review your progress. If you have further questions or queries on this please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate to your needs.
What approaches do you use?
The therapeutic approach used will be based on your therapeutic needs and goals but we draw upon many different therapeutic approaches including: Person-Centred counselling, Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytical approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and many more.
If you have any further questions about this please contact us and we will happily answer your questions or book a 15 minute consultation call with an expert here.
Is online therapy just as effective as in person therapy?
Since the Covid-19 pandemic online therapy has seen a huge increase. There are many additional benefits to online therapy for clients and often these can enhance the overall effectiveness.
Is my treatment confidential?
All treatment is kept confidential. Prior to your first full session your therapist will outline our confidentiality policy within your therapy contract.
